Rasa Shastra (Mineral Medicine):
Vaidya Balendu Prakash, was born and brought up in a family of Ayurvedic Physician at Meerut. He did his basic schooling and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Meerut and completed B.A.M.S (Ayurvedacharya) from M.D. University, Rohtak. He learnt the applied aspects of Rasa Shastra from his father Late Vaidya Chandra Prakash. Vaidya Balendu started his private practice in January 1985 at Meerut and shifted to Dehradun, in October 1989. He established Vaidya Chandra Prakash Cancer Research Foundation (SIROs) to carry basic research in Ayurveda under the Patronage of Late Shri K R Narayanan (former President of India). Vaidya Balendu has undertaken various Collaborative Clinical Research Projects with Central Council of Research on Ayurveda and Siddha (CCRAS), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Women and Child Welfare, Government of India & Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthpuram and Department of AYUSH sponsored by Government of India, Kerala and Uttarakhand respectively.
He is actively involved in the Research & Development of new treatment protocols for various forms of cancer especially Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APML). For this invention he was been accorded European and US Patent. Besides this, he has also developed Ayurvedic treatment protocol and products for Migraine, Nutritional Anemia, Childhood Asthma, Chronic Pancreatitis and Liver Disorders. He has 18 peer reviewed research articles to his credit which have been published in many International Scientific Journals.
He is the first and only Ayurvedic physician to get the Life Membership of India Co-operative Oncology Network (ICON) and member of International Headache Society (IHS), U.K. He is recipient of many awards at State and National level including Padamshri in the year 1999.
Vaidya Balendu has travelled extensively within India and abroad in relation to his clinical practice and research activities. Recently, Ayurvedic pharmacopoeia committee under Department of AYUSH, Government of India has accepted technology and tools developed by him for the uniform manufacturing of Bhasmas.
Dr. Laxmikant Dwivedi completed his B.A.M.S and post-graduation from Shri MMM Govt. Ayurved College Udaipur, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Rajasthan . He later went on to complete his Ph.D. (Ayurveda) from the same institution.
He has worked in several reputed institutions throughout the country. He was the Managing Director at Indian Medicine Pharmaceutical Corpn. Ltd.( IMPCL), for about 7.5 years where he conducted herbal cultivation and collection. He has also worked as Professor & Head, Dept. of Rasa Shastra (mineral medicine) & Bhaishajya Kalpana (Ayurvedic Pharmacology), NIA, Jaipur and is currently working as the as Professor & Head, Dept. of Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana, GJ Patel Ayurved College& RC, New VidyaNagar, Anand, Gujarat.
Dr. Dwivedi has forty years of experience in Drug Manufacturing in various Ayurvedic Pharmacies and has given training to Foreign Scholars of Drug Manufacturing under Cultural Exchange Programme plan of W.H.O. He is a Recipient of several Merit Certificates and scholarships, he was also awarded a W.H.O Fellowship on “Health Management” in Beijing and Seoul. In addition he is also a Member of the Board of Studies of several universities, is a member of Governing Body I.A.P.S, Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar and a member in various Govt. committees.
Bhaishajya Kalpana (Ayurvedic Pharmaceuticals):
Dr. Virender Sodhi was the first Ayurvedic and Naturopathic physician in the United States. He earned his medical degree in 1980 from the Dayanand Ayurvedic Medical College in Jalandar, India. Dr. Sodhi served as a college professor in India until 1986, when the Indian government selected him to share Ayurveda with Western society as part of a cultural exchange program. Dr. Sodhi finished fellowship in Integrative Oncology with Dr. Mark Rosenberg in 2012.
After arriving in the United States, Dr. Sodhi enrolled at Bastyr University, a nationally recognized school of natural medicine in Kenmore, Washington. He received his N.D. degree from Bastyr in 1988. He was subsequently invited to join the faculty at Bastyr to teach Ayurvedic sciences. Dr. Sodhi is currently a visiting professor at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy, and at Des Moines University in Iowa.
In addition to educating students at academic institutions, Dr. Sodhi has educated the general public about the benefits of Naturopathic medicine both nationally and internationally. He has been featured on several radio and television programs across the country, including an hour-long talk show titled Ayurveda: Wealth of Health featured during the summer of 1997 on KEZX, a local radio station in Seattle, Washington. He shares his knowledge of Ayurveda by lecturing in hospitals, conferences, and other universities in the United States, as well as in Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
Dr. Sodhi has served on the Panel of Experts with Dr. Andrew Weil for Natural Health magazine, and has been featured in the Ask the Experts column many times. He is the most quoted naturopathic physician in the reference book Alternative Medicine: the Definitive Guide, and is featured in The Textbook of Natural Medicine. His articles have appeared in several publications including the Protocol Journal of Botanical Medicine, World & I magazine, India Post and the Ayurvedic News Quarterly. He also served as the Appointed Advisor for Natural Products to the government of Australia.
Along with his three brothers, he envisioned and is founding CEO of Ayush Herbs, Inc., which offers the highest quality Ayurvedic herbal products and supplements worldwide.
Dr. Sodhi is a member of AANP (All American Naturopathic Physician),WANP (Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians), A4M ( Anti-aging Medicine), NAMA ( National Ayurvedic Medical Association), AAPNA ( Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America) and ONCANP( Oncology Association of Naturopathic Oncology) and SIO ( Society of Integrative Oncology). He has served both the National & State Ayurvedic Associations: NAMA & CAAM over the years, and as a member of the Standards Committee at NAMA, helped form the new Practitioner Categories and Competencies. As a 7 year Board Member of CAAM, he served as Secretary for two of those years.
Arun currently heads NAMA’s Committee on creating Standards for Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy.
He is faculty for LMU (Loyola Marymount University) where he is Director of Ayurveda for Larry Payne’s YTRX program and teaches for the Yoga Doctors Teacher Training Program.
Arun is also a certified teacher of Vinyasa Krama Yoga which he studied under Srivatsa Ramaswami, who studied directly with Shri Krishnamacharya for over 33 years.
He was one of the first to do the AyurYoga Program offered by the Ayurvedic Institute back in 2000 and 2002.
Arun has also presented more than once at NAMA and SYTAR Conferences.
Arun’s prime love and passion is in creating therapies that come from both the Yogic and Ayurvedic Traditions.
It is with this in mind that he is working closely with NAMA to integrate the two Sister Sciences for Therapeutic Purposes.

Shareer Kriya (Ayurvedic Physiology):
Kishor Patwardhan , B.A.M.S., Masters in Ayurveda, Ph.D., is an expert in Ayurveda Physiology (Kriya Sharir). He currently works for the department of Kriya Sharir , Faculty of Ayurveda, Banaras Hindu University as a Reader. He has authored a book and several research articles on Ayurveda Physiology. The major area of his interest is Prakriti (Ayurveda constitution) and its relationship with autonomic responses. Another area of his interest is Ayurveda Education. His doctoral work was on identifying various issues, concerns and challenges of Ayurveda Education in India. He is also involved in developing and evaluating different integrative teaching methods for Kriya Sharir. He has participated as expert consultant in several research projects and has lectured at different institutions on various topics such as scientific writing, research methodology, education al research , Ayurveda physiology etc. He was invited to deliver a series of lectures at NPO Japan Ayurveda Institute, Tokyo in 2012. He was recently awarded ‘AYUSH-sponsored Vaidya-Scientist Fellowship’ from ITD-HST, Bengaluru. Apart from having published several research papers in scholarly journals, he also serve s as a reviewer for many journals. He currently works as an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine.

Dr. P. Ram Manohar, MD Ayurveda presently serving as Director and CSO with AVP Research Foundation, Coimbatore and Honorary Research Director at Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ĀCĀRA).

Dr. Anand Dhruva
Dr. Anand Dhruva is a board-certified medical oncologist, hematologist, and internist. He is a clinician and researcher specializing in medical oncology, integrative oncology, and Ayurveda. In addition to serving as a member of the research and clinical faculty at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), he is an Associate Professor of Medicine on the Hematology-Oncology faculty at UCSF’s School of Medicine.
The primary focus of Dr. Dhruva’s research program is the study of complementary therapies, specifically Ayurveda and yoga, for cancer symptom management. He also studies cancer symptom trajectories and quality of life during and after cancer treatment. He is the recipient of a National Institutes of Health K23 Career Development Award from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) to study Ayurveda as a whole system of medicine.
Dr. Dhruva completed his training in internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta. He then completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at UCSF, where he also earned advanced certification in clinical research. In 2007, he was awarded a prestigious Bravewell Fellowship to attend the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine, established by Dr. Andrew Weil. Ram comes from a family of Ayurvedic practitioners and Vedic teachers in India tracing back to the illustrious V edic-acharya Rishi Kaundinya. Ram completed the academic training at the California College of Ayurveda (CCA) and received his certification as Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist. He serves as a faculty at the California College of Ayurveda and teaches in their Nevada city location. Ram is also a dedicated Hatha yoga practitioner and is a RYT from Yoga Alliance USA. In his spare time he offers consultations in YAMP techniques (Yoga, Ayurveda, Meditation & Pranayama), and conducts Y AMP workshops, seminars and cooking classes.
